How to Help Your Clients Get Rid of Muscle Soreness Using Cryo Cups

Welcome back to Gymnazo family. Today we’re going to talk about crowd therapy and very specifically ice massage. So we go to great lengths to move in three dimensional space with highly intelligent exercises. Still, exercise is a paradox and can occasionally make us a little sore, a little achy. And so there’s a couple different things we can do about that. One of them is ice massage. So here behind the front desk at Gymnazo, we have a miniature freezer. Inside the screen here, you’ll find cryo cups, and right above it, grab a towel, so follow me. So these cups filled with water, and then frozen, you can twist them in opposite directions to separate it, or if they’re really stuck, run them underneath some cool water. And that will help them to separate easily after they’re separated. Get yourself in a position that’s comfortable, especially for the area that’s affected. Let’s say in this example, we’re going to do the knee but having a little bit of knee pain on the inside. So I’m gonna take this ice and apply it directly to the skin. Take a small surface area, maybe no more than five or six inches in diameter, and apply that ice right there in slow circles. The first it’s quite cold, but after about two minutes, they’ll go numb and won’t really feel it as much and I can apply a little bit more pressure and gently need the tissue. But this will do a few different things. Number one, I’ll reduce reduce the nervous system sensitivity, and so pain will be decreased. The second thing they will do is by cooling the area cause all the blood vessels and lymphatic vessels in the area to constrict. That will help us afterwards when they expand creating negative pressure and removing waste removing lymph and removing inflammation from the area so that helps with healing. And with pain reduction long term. We want to apply this for about six to 10 minutes and no more negative side effects can occur if it’s done for too long. After that, we’ll drop the area. Top off the ice cup with just a little bit more water spec and drop it in the freezer. This can be done every day or up to a couple times a day as long as there’s at least an hour or so in between treatments. Hope this helps. And we’ll see you the gym.
