So to understand the pelvic core neuromuscular system, we have to understand the key components. What are the key pieces, there’s a top, there’s a front, there’s a back and there’s a bottom, we have the respiratory diaphragm up in front and kind of more. So the top, then more in front to kind of wrapping around the sides of the abdominal muscles, the rectus abdominus, the external internal obliques and all the connective tissue associated with those. We also have the backside where the back muscles and the hip muscles, and then also the bottom or the pelvic core, that kind of keeps everything up. Now it’s not just piece by piece by piece, it’s actually the connective tissue that surrounds every one of those pieces. So the diaphragm works with the abdominal muscles work with with the hip and back muscles work to the pelvic floor to create coherence or a synergistic core if you will. The key thing is that the pcns is not an isolated system, it’s not just here, it’s everything up top, it’s everything down low. And the pcns is just generally what’s in between to connect those bottom and top pieces together. We want to train them in an integrated manner, but we bring in some rotational components, we bring in some anterior posterior components and we bring in some lateral components so the whole system works together. pcns works together to give you more core movements and stability works to give you more neuromuscular support also helps to control bladder and bowel function and also influences your sexual function. As long as we get all these pieces to work synergistically, we create a very coherent and synergistic message for the rest of the system. That helps us avoid knee pain, the back pain and neck pains from those muscles that are overworking for the job that the pcns isn’t doing. The pcns isn’t doing its job, something else in our body has to make up for it. And that’s where you have those pains most discomforts and those aches that a little more unexplainable because it’s being caused by something else, something that’s more hidden deeper inside.
