How to Foam Roll Your Quads (Legs)

The next part of the foam roller we’re working on the quads at the top of the legs. These are a very dense set of muscles that pretty much from here all the way up, traveled from the knee all the way to the hip. I’m going to need to go all my stomach for this one and go down as I go into a plank position, as I’m going to be slowly rolling through now you don’t want a straight leg because that’s going to shorten the muscle. What a long stretched out muscle to be rolling through it as you go nice and smooth. Again, you’re the top part outside of the thigh. In then the inside of the top like what we call the quadriceps which don’t go too far. You get to the abductors, or if you go too far out, you’ll get to the IT band. So just a slight angle slow motion again you can shift lateral side to side. You can roll the leg and get different aspects. Of course you can roll on the roller itself. You want to get more internal leg goes out slowly performed motion pattern back and forth.
